Welcome to the Georgia Parents as Teachers Network

The Georgia Parents as Teachers (PAT) State Office supports Georgia PAT affiliates in partnership with the Parents as Teachers (PAT) National Center in Saint Louis, Missouri. Parents as Teachers builds strong communities, thriving families and children who are healthy, safe and ready to learn by matching parents and caregivers with trained professionals who make regular personal home visits during a child’s earliest years in life, from prenatal through kindergarten. Parents as Teachers provides parents with child development knowledge and parenting support, screens early for developmental delays and health issues, prevents child abuse and neglect, and increases children's school readiness.

Parents as Teachers programs in Georgia have been serving families since 2006. In Georgia, there are currently 26 affiliates serving about 1650 families. Georgia PAT affiliates receive funding from a variety of sources, including school districts, nonprofits, and government programs.

The Georgia Parents as Teachers State Office supports all PAT affiliates in Goergia. We assist affiliates with program initiation, model implementation, quality assurance and improvement, and more.
